Augustinus Bader The Eye Cream is the lighter counterpart to The Rich Eye Cream. Augustinus Bader describes it as a weightless burst of hydration that visibly brightens, reduces puffiness and smooths wrinkles, built on its TFC8® technology, which the brand says supports skin cell communication for continuous, visible renewal.
The brand calls it a lightweight daily step for puffiness and dark circles, lists it as ideal for normal to oily skin, and names visibly improving elasticity and increasing firmness among its benefits. Augustinus Bader lists it as fragrance-free, vegan and non-comedogenic, and free from parabens, sulfates, silicones and mineral oil.
The brand names each active and its role: vitamin C to support natural collagen production, brighten and even tone; niacinamide to boost brightness, help calm skin and visibly reduce fine lines; panthenol to attract and lock in moisture; centella asiatica to hydrate stressed skin; arjun tree extract to help firm skin; and a duo of seaweed extracts to help reduce the appearance of puffiness and dark circles.
In a 12-week study of 30 women and men aged 18 to 65, the brand reports that The Eye Cream visibly reduced fine lines by 57%, improved hydration by 204% and improved the feel of skin firmness by 165%.
In a 12-week consumer perception study of 106 women and men aged 18 to 65, 99% agreed tired eyes look refreshed, luminous and well-rested, 95% agreed crow's feet look noticeably reduced, and 93% agreed dark circles and under-eye bags look noticeably reduced. These are the brand's own figures. Its page shows a further set of results beside copy that names The Rich Eye Cream, so those are left out here.
In Augustinus Bader's routine the eye cream is step five, after the moisturizer, so it follows the face creams behind this one.
The brand suggests this one during the day and the richer eye cream in the same line at night, or this one in hot, humid climates and the richer one in dry, cold climates.
Augustinus Bader says the eye patches that go on first can be applied before The Eye Cream for an extra dose of hydration.
